Kelen Hospital Ltd. is a private owned and managed, friendly hospital in one of the most beautiful capitals of Europe – in Budapest. With its architectural and managerial style our facility is rather a caring shelter for out patient then a healthcare “factory”. As a private investment in 1998 Kelen was built to serve differently as usual: to take more emphasis on patient personal care, education, screening and prevention.
From the first moment of its operation 1998 Hospital Kelen is licensed by the Hungarian health care authority for outpatient care and one-day surgery in different specialties. Kelen Hospital Ltd. is one of rare private ones to possess ISO 9001:2001 International Certification for quality management.
The patient's turnover is roughly 18 000/year. Half of them are covered by Hungarian social security, others are financed out of pocket or by employers in case of occupational health services.
The two-store, 1400m2 building is situated close to the center of Kelenföld (a western district - namely 11th - of Budapest), 20th Thán Károly street. Besides modern state-of-the-art operation theaters and examination rooms Hospital Kelen has six patient's rooms in case of hospitalization fully equipped with bath, TV, telephone, air-conditioning and internet connection.
